AI, where it helps
How we use AI in a quality improvement project
AI speeds up the slow parts of the work: reading messy records, drafting the write-up and keeping actions visible. People still decide what caused a problem, what it costs and what to change.
The short answer
We use AI to read and sort large, messy failure records quickly, to draft summaries we then check, and to keep actions visible between visits. The causes, the costs and the fixes are worked out with your team. You never need to buy software, and our own platform, Doctilla, is optional.
Where AI helps
-
Sorting the records
Rework logs, credit notes and site reports are usually free text, kept in several places and formats. AI can read a year of entries and suggest families of problems far faster than a person can. We check every grouping by hand before anything is costed.
-
Drafting, not deciding
First drafts of the review summary and the weekly update, which we correct before you see them. It saves time on writing up, so more of the time goes on the floor and on site.
-
Keeping actions visible
Corrective actions, owners and dates kept in one place between visits, so nothing waits for the next meeting. That can be in Doctilla or in the tools you already use.
Where people decide
-
Finding the cause
That happens on the shop floor, in the office and on a live site, talking to the people who do the work. A model reading a log cannot tell you that the survey was taken before the fixed points were in.
-
Agreeing the cost
Every cost per incident is agreed with you, conservatively, so the figure is one the board believes.
-
Choosing the fix
The cheapest control that removes a whole family of problems is a judgement about your business: your people, your suppliers, your customers.
Doctilla, if you want it
Doctilla is the quality platform we built for running an ISO 9001 system day to day: corrective actions worked through the 8D steps, nonconformities, supplier issues, cost of quality, audits and management reviews. Some businesses use it to keep the work going after we step back. It is optional. If you would rather keep everything in your existing systems, we work there.
Joining up your own systems
If what you need is AI that answers questions across your ERP, CRM and the rest, that is a different job, and a separate product: Sysgraft, which Euan builds. Curavest stays focused on where margin leaks and how to stop it.
Quick answers
Do we need to buy AI software to work with you?
No. You never need to buy software to work with us. Our quality platform, Doctilla, is optional, and we can work entirely in the systems you already have.
Can we ask you not to put our records through AI tools?
Yes. Say so at the start and we'll agree which records we use and how. The method is the same without it; the sorting just takes longer.
Can you help us use AI across our own systems?
That is not what Curavest sells first. If what you need is one place to ask questions across your ERP, CRM and other systems, that is Sysgraft, a separate product Euan builds.
